Do you feel you will miss the Nitro now? Seems the Super Sport is pretty close to the Competition outside of power tubes? Also, I have not quite seen a panel layout like yours and it looks a little bent or forced in? The Nitro is a more modern Gain kinda vibe. Anyway I will try and fire them up again tomorrow and maybe make a quick and dirty comp clip with my phone.īilly - The Competition is a Single Channel Quick Rod (Plexi/800/modded 800). Don't get me wrong I love the Fly they just don't impart any real tonal enhancements to your sound. I was using a really IMHO sterile Parker Fly. I was running both through an Orange open back 2x12 with Vintage 30's. So first impression it seemed dirtier than the Competition which surprised me.
